Wet Trimmer (WT1)

The Monkey Stuff Wet Trimmer (WT1) is designed to help remove excess wet clay from the bases of pots before the pot is removed from the wheel. Unlike some other methods cleaning up the base of whet pots, such as using a knife to slice material away from the pot and a needle tool to slice the material from the wheel head, with the right technique the wet trimmer can be used to do this operation in a single motion. You may have seen potters on YouTube doing this with a dull dry trimming tool. The WT1 is purpose designed for this task. The trimming blade is blunted so that it wound damage your bats or wheel, and angled at 60 degrees so that you can easily maneuver it around the bases of a wide variety of pots.  The blade itself, made from 1/8" thick 304 stainless steel, is thicker than a normal trimming tool which helps push material down and away the pot.
